Collection: 1920's - 1950's Brick & Stone Mortar

While some commercial and larger buildings used Portland Cement in the masonry construction as early as the late 1800's, most integration of this harder cement in masonry mortars was occurring between 1920 and 1950.

We recommend our Type O mortar for most repointing projects for this period of time as lime was still the primary cementitious material commonly used. Type O is a softer mortar with more lime and less Portland cement that matches well with many of the buildings and homes of this time period.
