from 144 reviewsSomeone rebuild our concrete steps at the top where they were pulling away from the house, but they did not use black mortar, they did a good job with the craftsmanship, but the mortar looked awful. Thanks to the stain from ProMason our steps look so good!.
The Mortar stain was amazing! Easy to apply and dramatically improved the appearance of our fireplace,. Allowing a DIY correction lof a mismatched, botched professional repair. More color choices would be helpful. Thank you.
I had a problem with the my first order of masonry stain. I was replaced quickly. Great customer service.
The masonry stain is a lifesaver! Love it! Before you freak out over the price it can be dilluted 3x water to stain and do so much coverage. My chaotic multicolor brown brick is now a beautiful warm whitish color. I got the cream masonry stain
I had a chaotic brown, red, cream and gray brick home feom the 70s and wanted to modernize it so I got the cream masonry stain and dilluted it 2x water to stain and did a wash and absolutely love the results. Great product!!!! Would love to show pics?
Great information on the website to select the right mortar for the job I am going to attempt. They also included a print out in the box with further instructions and advice. Fantastic!
Great product! Fast delivery. Ordered on Monday and received on Friday right on time for my weekend project.
I ordered samples for mortar stain, and plan to order gallons of the stain for our project. Ordering was easy and shipping was fast. The stain samples had leaked a little in shipment, but we had plenty to test the stain. The stain itself works perfect and cleans up easily and doesn't have a strong odor, which I was surprised by. I had a question about coverage and reached out to Pro Mason through the contact page. They were quick to respond, helpful and thorough in their reply. Would recommend the products and company to others.
I used the brick stain on two fireplaces. The first one I did using the cream color and it is perfect. For the second one, I used charcoal and it came out a bit dark. (Just like with paint, it starts out light and dries darker.) Because I preferred the color of the wet version of the stain, I decided to go back over it with a paint wash. It was sooooo much harder to do a paint wash! With the stain, it was much easier to get a consistent finish. I am sticking with ProMason for any of my future brick projects!
Really happy to have found this source for good historic masonry repair. I am very happy with the mortar and directions they sent, and their shipping was very fast too. I’m sure I will be a loyal customer for years to come.
Ordered 3 samples of brick stain. I’ve only done a sample of them on a brick yet the coverage on 2 of the 3 was excellent with only one coat with a brush. My middle color was a custom 50/50 mix of the other 2. The 3 rd stain sample didn’t make it to the final brick sampling.
I am entirely new to masonry, but I managed to repoint a section of my 300 year old stone foundation with lime mortar, and I’m very happy with the results. I was not able to find the appropriate mortar locally. Maybe a bit crude, but I bet it’ll hold up another hundred years!
