The system
Pro Mason All Surface Cleaner. Non-acidic. Dilute 1:4 / 1:10 / 1:20 to the soil. Prepares the wall so mortar bonds and you are not sealing dirt.
After pointing: Pro Mason Mortar Wash — not muriatic acid. Not for limestone, marble, or polished stone.
Specify the mortar. Mix one contractor bulk-box with 15 gallons of sand by volume. Boxes are packed by weight and settle in shipping — do not measure the powder. Pack the joint. Damp-cure. The mortar stays softer than the unit.
Light Buff color packs ship standard. Add on-site if desired.
Pro Mason Responder Concentrate. Non-film-forming, natural-look silane-siloxane. Mix 1 gallon concentrate + 4 gallons clean water = 5 gallons ready-to-use.
Above grade only. Never below grade. Apply only after mortar has cured.

Winter work
Historic foundation walls were built to take on moisture and release it. A cement parge or “waterproof” coating on the inside traps that moisture. The wall fails from the inside out.
The lime parge reduces dusting, contains old joints, soaks up excess moisture, stays fully breathable, and brings the antimicrobial character of lime into a damp space.
How you make money
Specified lime work is not commodity pointing. Price Repair as preservation labor.
Clean is Step 1. Protect is Step 3. High coverage, high perceived value, easy yes on the estimate.
